Confused

It was already explained I wasn't supposed to have reality, especially where people are concerned. Why would they want to keep me confused so badly though? What is the purpose of that? 

I heard someone a long time ago telling people they were going to keep me confused and, later I heard someone crying saying that they didn't know they were going to keep me this confused!

For a while they were saying it was to protect me. Protect me from what? This is my life and, I don't understand what is going on. Why would the confusion matter since, they ask me all the time how am not confused usually, though, they ask that after that have given me information. So, I would have to say prior to whatever you just told me!
